Saturday
Followed a sports car up San-Cap Road; driver was “conducting” music with her left hand. Turned on NPR, but the music didn’t match her motions.

Tuesday
We have guava buds! Is there a patron saint of fruits?

Monday
BH is talking about going to Cuba. DF just got back. We should go, too, before McDonald’s gets there.

Wednesday
Dreamed we kept two ducks by the guava trees.

Friday
Got invited to the Abacos. Tonight I’ll dream of conch fritters, a goombay smash, and Hopetown Harbour.

Saturday
Finished my beekeeping book. I’m a future beekeeper; just can’t shake my fascination, and why should I?

Sunday
I’m dehydrating mangoes tonight. I rowed over to Kelsie’s; she helped me collect and load them in the boat.

Wednesday
Trimmed palm trees until I couldn’t lift my arms. Remedied the situation with a cold limeade in a hot shower.

Friday
Watched an osprey and frigate gliding in the same thermal, not much altitude between them.

Saturday
Found a 40-year-old book about Sanibel at a Ft. Myers garage sale.

Tuesday
Lost at pinochle tonight, but the company and the red wine were great.

Wednesday
G&C leave next week for Philly. It’s that goodbye time of year.

Friday
A little tennis, then lunch with S at the pool bar.

Saturday
Drove to Arcadia to visit the Curtis family’s honey operation. Cale showed me a shipment of queen bees they just got in.

Wednesday
DJ has two raccoons that take turns dunking each other in his little pond!

Thursday
Summer Goals: Learn to throw a larger cast net. Study Florida gardening. Brush up on Spanish. Tan my feet.

Saturday
Have been wondering where the wild bees live in our neighborhood.

Sunday
Tracked a bee in the yard today, but lost him. Neighbors were looking at me funny.
